You can run multiple processes of<\/span> <span style=\"color: #800000;\">OSPF<\/span> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">using<br \/>\ndifferent<\/span><span style=\"color: #800000;\"> process ids<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Related commands:<\/span><br \/>\n<code><span style=\"color: #800000;\">show ip ospf neighbor<br \/>\nshow ip ospf interface<\/span><\/code><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Router-Id<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">The OSPF router-id will be, in order<\/span>:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The one configured by the router-id command, if available and configured.<br \/>\nThe highest IP loopback interface when OSPF starts, if a loopback exists.<br \/>\nThe highest IP on a non-loopback interface.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Objectives<\/span> :<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">1.<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Configure OSPF.<\/span> <span style=\"color: #800000;\">R1<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">will act as an<\/span> <span style=\"color: #800000;\">ASBR<\/span> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">by redirecting a series of static routes<br \/>\ninto the OSPF network. These Routes should NOT increment their metrics as they<br \/>\npass through the network and should have an intial<\/span> <span style=\"color: #800000;\">OSPF cost of 200<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #800000;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">All routers should have a <span style=\"color: #800000;\">router-id<\/span> reflecting their hostname, you should be able to<br \/>\nping this router-id throughout the entire OSPF network.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">R1<\/span>:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">router ospf 1<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> network 172.16.30.1 0.0.0.0 areaO<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000080;\"> router i.d 1.1.1.1<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> redistribute static subnets metric 200 metric-type 2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">E1<\/span><span style=\"color: #000080;\"> routes increase their metrics.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #800000;\"> E2<span style=\"color: #000080;\"> <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000080;\">is default and do not increment their metrics.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>!<br \/>\n!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">R2<\/span>:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">router ospf 1<\/span><br \/>\nnetwork 172.16.31.2 0.0.0.0 areaO<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000080;\"> router i.d 2.2.2.2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>!<br \/>\n!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Router-id<\/span> <span style=\"color: #000000;\">should be set before configuring routing protocol network.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">If <span style=\"color: #800000;\">Router-id<\/span> is set after configuring routing protocol then router interface<br \/>\nip address would take precedence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For <span style=\"color: #800000;\">router-id <\/span>the take precedence . run this command to clear the <span style=\"color: #800000;\">OSPF<\/span> process :<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">clear ip ospf process<\/span><\/p>\n<p>!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">int loopback 1<br \/>\nip address 10.10.0.1 255.255.25.0<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000080;\"> ip ospf network point-to-point<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Router OSPF will advertise a \/32 loopback 1 since it will see it a \/32 due to being<br \/>\na loopback interface.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">ip ospf network point-to-point<\/span> will see it as a real network \/24<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Configuring OSPF on a Cisco router router(config)#router ospf 1 router(config-router)#network 10.130.0.0 0.0.255.255 area 130 The command turns on the OSPF routing protocol with a process id of 1.
