To have (Cisco) redistribute 10.1.1.0\/24 into <span style=\"color: #800000;\">OSPF<\/span> requires the subnets keyword. To have (Cisco) redistribute 10.0.0.0\/8 into OSPF would not.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Usually when working with (Cisco) <span style=\"color: #800000;\">OSPF<\/span>, you&#8217;ll want to use the subnets keyword when doing redistribution into <span style=\"color: #800000;\">OSPF<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If you wanted to redistribute 192.168.1.0\/24 into <span style=\"color: #800000;\">OSPF<\/span>, since, under class rules, it&#8217;s a <span style=\"color: #000080;\">class C<\/span> address, you wouldn&#8217;t need the <span style=\"color: #800000;\">subnets<\/span> parameter.
